Badem is our new favorite restaurant in Istanbul! We've been living here for four months and only just discovered this family-run eatery, and we plan to make up for lost time by eating here as often as we can! The meal we had this evening was the best we've ever had in Istanbul. Our thanks to Gizem for making us feel so welcome and for explaining the menu choices in fluent English. She, along with her mother and sister, are incredibly talented chefs who turn out a wonderful variety of home-cooked dishes each day, all of which are on visible display which you can custom combine in quantities of 2, 3 or 4 to build your favorite meal. As vegetarians, we were delightfully surprised by how many options there were for us. In addition to falling in love with the delicious flavors of all of the food, we also were utterly charmed by the decor of the cozy ground-floor plus loft-area dining spaces. We noticed that tea and coffee are also available which we'll try next time. The prices are so reasonable too. Can we give you more reasons to go? You simply must go! :)
Average for two people never 40. But 70 liras. However it is worth it! Very delicious food, the only downside is that they use margarine in their desserts. I just wish they could afford to use a healthier alternative. But you can skip on desserts and opt to feast on the vegetarian specialties made with olive oil.
