the same food again: - As a general rule, Istanbul cuisine lacks imagination. The restauranteurs would rather stick to the status quo than strike out in any new directions. but i understand their mentality, and their very justified fear that any sort of change to the typical menu may be met with, at the least caution, and at the worst, complete revulsion. What if you tried to serve an Adana kebap with mango chutney? it would be delicious. anyway... alo durum doesn't do anything original. they serve exactly the same things as thousands of other kebapcis around town. but its ok, pretty cheap, and conveniently located.
