A sweet little food joint with a lot of sweet people and delicious food.
A big advantage for vegetarians that they cook at least one vegetarian dish every day, freshly cooked. Another must-have for vegetarians is their lentil soup, which is delicious with rice (or pilaf/pulav as they call it). The salads are fresh and the bread is unlimited and price is included in the food itself, no extra charge.
Their salads are a great accompaniment. I also loved their chickpea gravy, but sometimes it has some meat in it, so always ask before ordering.
The only thing to keep in mind is that the people in Istanbul have early dinners so by the time it's 7-7:30, dinner at local joints starts getting over. And it gets difficult to get dinner in non-touristy restaurant at night, especially vegetarian food.
So, vegetarians, I suggest you plan your dinners early.
PS I was soo hungry, I forgot to click a picture of my meal.
For my non-vegetarian friends, they provide freshly made mutton, chicken, lamb and beef all day. The image is of the chicken steak that my parents had.
