My favorite dessert place in Istanbul.Huge variety of Baklavas and other lesser known delicious Turkish desserts.We tried Kazandibi which is one of the signature desserts of Turkey.You just cant afford to leave Turkey without trying this.Let me introduce you to this desert which for most of us is from a different world altogether.Kazandibi (Turkish Pudding) derives its name from Kazan which means open cast iron cooking pan or pot widely used in Central asia.Kazandibi is prepared by mixing chicken meat with milk,some natural thickeners and cinnamon slightly burnt at the bottom and its simply OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!initially i was a little apprehensive to try this since we just cant imagine mixing chicken with dessert!this one particularly is an extremely popular dessert in Turkey and is believed to be served in the Ottoman Palace.The ambience is simple yet exudes the quintessential Turkish vibe.the staff is courteous and friendly enough to introduce the turkish desserts and its significance in the Turkish cuisine.
Overall worth experimenting if you are in Istanbul.
